Poem: Button, Blue
when u wanna kill yourself but the revolution needs you
sad and suicidal,
all alone with ambitions unfulfilled
desires out of reach, denied
death seems like sleep to the tired
you eye a personal annihilation
blinded by the dead end of a dying system
private loss is public failure
suffering under the sin of separating a social animal
consequences of a crime against communal creatures
this decay is the scent of nature rebelling
infrastructure caving under the weight of collective grief
individuals collapsing in a crumbling structure
as billionaires keep crawling forward
dragging, behind them, their arbitrary riches
do not fall for their propaganda
you are not moving in isolation
do not abandon your post
the power of god is the size of people standing side by side
in your alienation, your weakness makes you feel worthless
greater power manifests as helplessness stacked together
you, my star, are woven in the fabric
a thread, tied together with every other
you (are) matter; you are materially meaningful
you are a nerve of the universe
when you breathe, it breathes with you
you are water in the the world’s waves
history is the sum of strangers holding hands;
these years will be hard, and, for a while, getting harder
we must endure the growing pains of transition periods
we must help each other hold out
together we can determine the outcome
your exhaustion is evidence against the architecture
silence where your voice should be surrenders fate to sickness
do not make yourself a sacrifice to the wicked
depriving justice of your much needed persistence;
staying alive is the resistance that builds revolutions
your presence becomes our perseverance
press against the water until we change the tides
hope is not held on its own
it is a fuel that feeds itself between us
the future cannot survive a mass extinction of the spirit
so we, the people, ask you:
survive, in solidarity

love this lyricism
great message great piece - survive in solidarity
