This brought tears to my eyes not just because I relate to parts of it but because my grandmother suffered from schizophrenia for a lot of her adult life and I was too young to fully be there for her then. I wonder if she felt this way, I wonder if she too felt alone despite being surrounded by people who love her but maybe don’t fully understand her. I am so proud of you for wording this feeling I think people need to know more about the reality of their loved ones who grapple with psychosis and self identity but might not be as skilled with words. I wish you the best

I’m wholeheartedly so proud of you for finally voicing your experience. I’m so glad you managed to go back to yourself no matter how hard it felt to rebuild the narrative of your existence brick by brick. Kudos to you 🫡🐺🫀🫀🫀🫀🫀

The way you put an experience this hard to explain into words really stays with you.

Thank you for putting such beautiful language to such a difficult topic. It's a if you know you know one when it comes to psychosis. I've experienced it through a manic episode in the past (roughly 2 years ago) and I only recently, after a diagnosis, put it into words myself.

I don't normally link my writing under others posts, I find it comes across quite rude and intruding, but in this case, I offer my recent post about my own experience as my hand reaching for yours in the hope you feel some solidarity in it 🫶
